Young Christian, do not allow the enticements of materialism and humanism to deflect you from building strong faith in our Lord! Parents, keep strenthening your own faith and inform yourself of the particular appeals of the forces now attempting to defame or wipe out Christianity that you might properly prepare your children to face an ungodly world alone! Older person, you have come this far, do not flag now though the unChristian forces in our society ridicule the faithful, perhaps even push us toward persecution we have never known in these United States!

It is our purpose to hold up the light of God's world in a dark world. This year even higher than before. We want to increase readership of our books and study materials because we believe by doing so we can promote the Bible and knowledge of the truth it contains. This is our mission in life. There are many in the world today who do not believe the Bible message; they need to be convinced. Our messages from John's gospel and the book of Acts as well as arguments about the fallacies of the New Age movement may help. Experience teaches that many who claim to be disciples of Jesus Christ have little or no personal familiarlity with studying the Bible, the Word of God. Clear explanations of why and how to study with practical suggestions for arriving at a correct interpretation are sorely needed. Experience also teaches that a godly marriage is often the key to maintaining individual faith of those married. The marriages of those in Christ are too often weak or falling apart. The divorce rate among Christians is about the same as for non-beleivers. When a marriage is faulty, all to often it soon becomes obvious that the faith of one or both in that relationship is also faulty. We believe our marriage and family books and course materials will help in the important struggle to make our marriages better, more godly.

Of course, underlying every marriage problem is a behaviorial problem, either in how one thinks or how one acts. The apostle Paul wrote a good bit about putting off bad behavior and putting on Christlike behavior. The Bible tells us what to put off and on, but it is not all that easy. We offer a course book that helps you understand this challenge of life, and gives practical guidelines for becoming more like the Savior.

Perhaps the greatest need of all is a sincere, motivating love of truth and the personal skills required to mine from Scripture the nuggets needed to ward off the onslaught of the devil and build faith. Depending on your preacher's or pastor's knowledge is not good enough. You will stand alone before God in judgment to give answer for your faith, just as I will. We each need the ability to pull from the Bible God's message to us, without dogmatism or any human bias, our own or that of others.
